When it fires

POST /v1/redemptions is called while self-service redemption is not live on the platform. Resolved markets are paid out automatically (bulk fan-out) rather than by user-initiated claim, so there is nothing for the endpoint to do.

Why it happens

  • Self-service redemption has not been rolled out to this environment yet (the default). Markets settle to automated payout and are paid without a claim.
  • The feature was rolled back platform-wide.
This is distinct from a per-route kill switch (a temporary 503 operational lever): REDEMPTIONS_NOT_ENABLED means the capability is not enabled at all.

How to fix

  • Nothing to do as an integrator — your winnings are still paid out automatically once the market resolves. Poll GET /v1/portfolio for the settled balance.
  • If you believe self-service redemption should be enabled for your environment, contact support.
