> How Kash Is Governed Today — and the Planned DAO

# Governance Today

  Today, Kash is operated by the Kash team. Protocol smart contracts are secured with multisig controls, and market resolution is executed by a multisig oracle. A progressive transition to community governance (KashDAO) is planned.

    KashDAO is planned as a decentralized autonomous organization where \$KASH token holders would collectively govern the protocol through transparent, on-chain voting.

    * **OpenZeppelin Governance** implementation for secure on-chain voting
    * **Token-holder voting** on protocol decisions
    * **Multisig emergency protocols** for crisis situations

    **Planned Governance Scope:**

    * Protocol parameter adjustments and fee structures
    * Treasury fund allocation and spending decisions
    * Oracle selection and data source improvements
    * Emergency protocols and crisis management procedures

# Planned Governance Components

    Under the proposed design, a governed treasury would collect protocol revenue and fund ecosystem growth:

    * **Treasury Core Module:** Would store USDC, \$KASH, LP tokens, and sub-fund balances
    * **Asset Manager Module:** Would deploy idle USDC into pre-approved yield strategies
    * **Smart Burn Module:** Would execute monthly \$KASH buybacks
    * **Community Rewards Module:** Would manage grants and community incentives

    * Community votes on treasury parameter adjustments
    * Transparent, on-chain reporting of treasury operations
    * Multisig security for large fund movements

    * Community-appointed adjudicators and weighted community votes for disputed or ambiguous outcomes
